The question is; does this imply that those who are not blessed with great abilities can't become great?

The answer is NO!

Greatness doesn't depend on whether you are talented or not, it doesn't depend on your skills neither does it depend on experiences.

The only thing that makes a difference is your ability to believe in yourself, that you can become who you want to become, that you can get to any height of achievement you want, that you can always be successful in whatever you do.
