There are sometimes in life that there's no option than to start from nothing.
In this case your passion is what helps you to start. That is, your intrinsic drive to become who you want to be or achieve what you want to achieve.
You may be talented, or gifted or whatever you choose to call it and still a nobody. The truth is, if there's no inner drive to showcase who you really are, your talents becomes useless.
Great people became great not because of their great talents, but because they had something inside telling them to "go".

I will answer your question this way; not too long I wrote a post on a particular group (Facebook group) and my question was this ( why do we always have something to write about?) --though paraphrased-- I actually got several comments.
From people's comments on that particular post, I could draw a conclusion that we are able to do whatever we want if we can think, and act on what we have available.
Nature always makes available, whatever we need.
